The short version: your images and video never leave your computer. Ladybug runs in your browser, and your media is processed entirely on your device. We could not look at your work even if we wanted to.
What stays on your device
Everything you edit. Source images, videos, webcam footage, and every exported file are processed locally in your browser and saved to your own computer. They are never uploaded to our servers or anyone else's.
What we store if you create an account
Accounts are optional. If you create one, we store the minimum needed to make it work:
- Your email address, and your name if you choose to add one.
- Project and preset settings you save to your account: the effect configuration, never the media. A small preview thumbnail is included so you can recognize your projects.
- Your plan (free or member) and, for members, subscription status.
Cookies
One cookie, for staying signed in. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.
Emails
We send sign-in codes when you ask for them, and receipts if you become a member. No newsletters without your explicit consent.
Payments
Membership payments are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. Your card details go to Paddle directly and never touch our servers.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. This permanently removes your profile, synced settings, and thumbnails from our servers. Files on your computer are yours and stay exactly where they are.
